Adera

If The Walking Dead Telltale 's game taught us anything , it is that linearity is not as much of a chore if you push the narrative gameplay down the corridor is an entertaining one . In a way , Adera posits the same lesson but in the hidden objects instead of point - and click the form .

Although it is often quite happy to blur the distinction between the two genre , and it throws in some other puzzling set - pieces as well , before wrapping the whole package in an intriguing archaeological adventure .

The game begins with the main character Jane Sinclaire waking up after a helicopter crash . He was in a strange desert canyons , and it is bound to lead her out of there and solve the mystery of how he got there .

Cue lots of finding objects, solving puzzles , and the kind of tender , logical gameplay makes for a quiet way to spend a sleepy Sunday afternoon . There are no great leaps of imagination required once the adventure game - if you see a broken bit of a machine , you can bet there 'll be a broken machine in the not too distant future .

The game challenges you to drag it up by sliding block puzzles , but even these are skippable after some time . It all adds to the idea that the story is king - it would be great if you finish the puzzle , but do not get too upset if you can not, because something cool is about to happen anyway.

weak weak

And so the story chugs along at a decent pace , with the mystery revealing enigmas disclosure of conundrums . You'll Slot things in place , set root around the screen for different items , and uncover the secret that not telling the truth behind the strange sphere you're carrying around with you .

If you are a veteran adventure game then Adera will probably be very strictly managed for you , but if you're looking for something simple to waste some time , your brain without ever really having to get out in its lower gears , then it would be a special treat .

Adera is a game that lets you sit back and enjoy it at your own pace , and that's something that the mobile gaming does not offer very often .
