Proud of the RT -powered devices and a handful of features that should make them perfect devices to play - Windows 8 . You can sign in to your Xbox Live profile and earn achievements , for example , and play some games as your Xbox Avatar .These features come to the fore in a World of Keflings , and create an environment of level console polish . May be an illusion , and an illusion is all too often spoiled by juddering framerates and uncomfortable controls , but the result is still an entertaining casual game strategy .
Kefling up
If you've never played a game Keflings before , the objective is grand but simple . You are a giant - if you have Xbox Live account you have a giant style after your avatar - who falls into a world populated by brave little blighters called Keflings .
It is up to you to organize the midgets and get the world in shape . You'll collect resources , grant activities and work , and develop new arrangements for them to live and work in. You'll also stomp around scaring off dragons and making faces foes .
It is a very easy game to pick up and play . Everything is controlled with context - sensitive taps . Tap some trees and your giant will start chopping them down . Tap a Kefling , then tap some trees , and give the little chap a job for life .
Keflings with blinking exclamation mark above their heads give you a variety of tasks . You may need to make a specific building to achieve a set goal , or go for a wander around the map either you where to find some new equipment .
All are pleasantly mild , and there is a good feeling of accomplishment when you finish all the installations and activities in one place and move to the next .
Worldly wise - HDR
A World of Keflings showing off what you can of your Windows -powered tablet without taxing you as a player . The experience is not always a smooth one , though , and some cutscenes shake themselves instead of playing .
Still, there is much to enjoy here , and full of content to while away a good few hours . This may not be the game that the hardcore drag and RT Windows 8 tablet , but it is a decent way to waste a solid chunk of time .
